Career:
Kristóf Porkoláb has MSc in Geology (ELTE, Budapest, 2016) and obtained his PhD in Earth Sciences (Utrecht University, Tectonics Group, 2021). Kristóf’s main fields of research are plate tectonic processes, rock deformation, rock-fluid interactions, and geo-energy applications. Applied research methods include numerical modelling, field - and microscale - structural and petrological analysis, radiometric dating, and the integrated analysis of geophysical and geological datasets. Since 2021 he has been a research fellow at the HUN-REN Institute of Earth Physics and Space Science.
