Career:
During his studies at Eötvös Loránd University, Levente Patkó joined the Lithosphere Fluid Research Lab (LRG) led by Csaba Szabó at the end of his undergraduate studies, where he completed both his master's thesis and doctoral research. During his university studies, he spent at least one month at several foreign institutions (University of Vienna [Vienna, Austria], University of Wrocław [Wrocław, Poland], Comenius University [Bratislava, Slovakia], Andalusian Institute of Earth Sciences [Armilla, Spain], Leibniz University [Hanover, Germany]). As a Humboldt Fellow, he spent two years (2025–2026) as a postdoctoral researcher at Goethe University (Frankfurt am Main, Germany). His research focuses on the evolution of the lithospheric mantle, with particular emphasis on its geochemical and geophysical aspects. He also actively investigates surface degassing originating from the deep lithosphere.
