The Topo-Transylvania team once again visited Covasna
Our institute’s Topo-Transylvania conducted fieldwork in Covasna once again. The goal was the installation of corner reflectors on the massive approx. 2 m3 concrete basement needed to monitor surface displacements. In addition, regular CO2 and radon measurements were made around the Integrated Geodynamic Station. The recent visit has provided an opportunity to lay the foundations for longer-term cooperation with Artur Ionescu and research teams with whom we will work with on a geochemical study of CO2-rich surface gas outflows in Covasna. We also spent a very intense day on the field and conducted discussions. Thank you for the continuous support of the local government, the protestant congregation, Sándor Gyila and Magdolna Finna.
