The Topo-Transylvania team once again visited Covasna

Our institute’s Topo-Transylvania conducted fieldwork in Covasna once again. The goal was the installation of corner reflectors on the massive approx. 2 m³ concrete basement needed to monitor surface displacements. In addition, regular CO₂ and radon measurements were made around the Integrated Geodynamic Station. The recent visit has provided an opportunity to lay the foundations for longer-term cooperation with Artur Ionescu and research teams with whom we will work with on a geochemical study of CO₂-rich surface gas outflows in Covasna. We also spent a very intense day on the field and conducted discussions. Thank you for the continuous support of the local government, the protestant congregation, Sándor Gyila and Magdolna Finna.
