The UHU Experiment Featured in Episode 6 of HUNOR Suli

The HUNOR Hungarian astronaut program has launched an educational video series titled HUNOR Suli, which introduces high school students to the various ways space research and space activities connect to different school subjects.

In the sixth episode, József Bór from the HUN-REN Institute for Earth Physics and Space Science gave a presentation titled “Outer Space and Geography – Scenes From a Good Marriage” (translated from Hungarian). During this special lesson, the session offered a brief overview of the main regions of Earth and near-Earth space, highlighting their key and intriguing characteristics. The talk then explored the geographical aspects of space utilization and human activities in space, in relation to the institute’s research areas.

The presentation also featured an introduction to the institute’s UHU experiment, which—within the framework of the Axiom Space Ax-4 mission carried out in June–July 2025—aimed to observe atmospheric electrical activity from space, using the vantage point of the International Space Station.
